Our Story
New Zealand's home for premium sports equipment — one destination for every sport that matters on this soil.
The Beginning
Game On Gear was founded by Sandeep Batra on a straightforward conviction — that New Zealand's sporting community deserves a single, trusted source for world-class equipment. No compromise on quality. No compromise on brand.
From backyard cricket on long summer evenings to competitive club rugby and netball leagues that run the length of both islands, sport is stitched into the fabric of Aotearoa. We exist to serve every level of that — juniors picking up their first bat, and seasoned players who know precisely what they need.
We started with cricket.
We're building toward every sport Kiwis love.

Exclusive New Zealand Partner
Versant describe cricket as “where we come from” — a brand built by players, for players, rather than assembled in a boardroom.
01
Started by people who've worn the pads, taped the gloves, and walked out to bat when it mattered.
02
Every bat balanced and inspected before it leaves. Every glove cut and stitched to feel like an extension of your hands.
03
Every pad, every guard, every piece — shaped by hours of testing and refining until it feels right.
The Philosophy
U vs U
Your only real competition is the player you were yesterday. Versant makes sure your gear is never the reason you fall short — when equipment is this dialled in, the only variable left is you.
Brand Ambassador
Captain · India
One of the most technically refined batters in world cricket — and Versant's brand ambassador.
Gill chose Versant for the same reason club players do: the standard doesn't shift depending on who's holding the bat. Whether you're playing district cricket or international, that's what you get.
